My Respects for Ms. Bhutto

I was very sadden to read the reports about Former Pakistani Prime Minister, Benazir Bhutto's assasination. I am crosing the net line now to offer my respects and thoughts on her death. Ever since I recall, I thought she was a role model for women like me. Ms. Bhutto's not only represented a political celebrity, but she was a woman with honor, valor, and most of all, a woman who held her own despite all odds. She died representing her stance. My respects.

PS: I loved her look. I have a very old picture of me taken in Venise where I slightly resemble her. I was wearing a pink pashima to cover my head in the style she used to wear.

Here death is a tragedy. There is no doubt about that. But it is no less tragic than the 20 or so innocent bystanders that also got killed.

It is great to see a female Muslim role model. She and her family also has a somewhat shady past, like a certain other political family dynasty running things here in the U.S.
