It has been some time that I have written anything. Blame it on the holidays or just life taking its tolls. Whatever is the reason, I am back! Back writing at least for today.
During the past few days, I read a few news clip that demonstrate how the the communication mentioned on the Internet has caused major life events, even murders. For example, the racial crime in Long Island. The drama behind it was inspired by a bogus rape comment on a Myspace page. Now, as a result of this malicious comments, many lives are permanently changed forever. A murder, years in prison, a family without their son, a family suffering through racial injustice, ........ All these consequences as a result from a Myspace comment.
And you know what? The creator of that comment has not demonstrate remorse over his actions. Does this mean that online behavior is not a serious manner?
The reason I mentioned this on my blog is because it demonstrates that the 'net crosses the line from being only on cyberspace to having real life reprecusions.
I would like to know your thoughts on this topic.

I did not follow this story in particular but this tragedy does underline how having an internet persona is merely a thin veil and there is a person behind the keystrokes...
